This accessory serves two purposes: it protects the BlackBerry’s LCD screen from scratches and knicks, plus it turns the screen completely black to anyone trying to view your Blackberry from the side.

After two years, my Curve 8330 has no scratches on the screen and numerous attempts to spy on what I was messaging while in public were foiled. At only $4.99, the LCD Screen Protector and Privacy Filter is a must have.

Phone Cover Protector Case

A phone cover made of hard plastic is a necessity.

Over two years, I managed to drop my Curve more times than I’m comfortable admitting to. But the hard cover protected the phone to all possible damage, and the Curve looks brand-new, two years later.

Most snap-on phone protectors are around $10. The phone protector shown above is $12.99.

BlackBerry Curve 8530 Car Charger

Another basic accessory that is absolutely worth the expense.

You will never be out of the home with a dead battery if you have a car charger.

You can get a car charger for the Curve 8530 for as little as $0.81.

Personally, I’d buy either the retractable charger shown above at $10.92, or the OEM charger sold by BlackBerry at $13.98.
